Oliver introduces Oliver Onsite expert package engineering services
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...Oliver Medical has introduced Oliver Onsite package engineering services, offering technical and engineering support to medical device manufacturers.
Oliver OnSite services are provided by the Oliver Answer Team, whose members include engineers who have worked for major MDMs.
"We've always provided our customers with engineering support," said Jeff Murak, Oliver Medical director of marketing and sales. "Now, we're taking that support to a new level for our industry. Our engineers have extensive experience working for MDMs including Smith & Nephew, Medtronic, and Baxter Healthcare. We're the only packaging provider in the industry able to offer such added value."
Oliver OnSite services include sealing parameters development, process validation, package system validation, ISO 11607 guidance, and identification of cost-savings opportunities.
"Because we have a thorough understanding of an MDM's costs, processes, quality expectations, and barriers to change, we can pinch-hit for them when their own internal resources are stretched too thin, or fill in an area of expertise they may lack internally," said Kevin Zacharias, Oliver engineering program manager and manager of Oliver OnSite services. OnSite has been particularly useful for MDMs planning a material conversion or concerned about ISO 11607 compliance.
Oliver OnSite services are delivered flexibly, and can include anything from identifying cost savings to managing every aspect of a complex package engineering project. OnSite engineers are recognized industry experts who publish articles and regularly speak at conferences about the latest medical device packaging trends and regulations.
