TOLAS introduces zone-coated rollstock for form-fill-seal
Feasterville, Pennsylvania, USA...TOLAS Healthcare Packaging has developed a process capability for providing printed or unprinted zone-coated lidding in rollstock form for Form/Fill/Seal applications. Zone-coated Tyvek® lidding allows for the precise application of proprietary heat-seal adhesives within the seal area only, preventing adhesive from coming in contact with your product and often eliminating the need for additional packaging components.
Zoned lidding can be EtO or radiation sterilized and is easily and cleanly peelable in its end use with virtually no particulate. Zone coating also allows application of adhesive to be customized to any configuration of tray surface.
Because it is preferable to design the zone pattern to fit precisely within the seal area, we would be happy to assist with design recommendations specific to your packaging application.
Products
All zone-coated lidding products from TOLAS are made using DuPont™ Tyvek® which is zone coated with unique proprietary adhesives, based on our SealScience® coating technology, and provide clean peelable bonds with visual seal indication.
This product is sealable to a wide variety of thermoforming plastics including PVC, Styrene, PETG, Barex, polycarbonate and polypropylene and is available in white adhesive or blue- tinted adhesive.

- Solid white or blue-tinted adhesive seal transfer provides positive indication of seal integrity upon opening.
- Excellent porosity which is most beneficial when rapid vacuum EtO cycles are used.
- Humidity resistant seals are moisture insensitive and are unaffected by the humidification phase of EtO cycles.
