Geoff Pavey to present New Applications for Dye Penetration Testing of SBS Packages and Films at HealthPack Memphis, TN March 2009
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...Geoff Pavey, Oliver-Tolas' Principal Engineer of Package Development, will address the HealthPack, Medical Device Packaging Conference in Memphis on Thursday, March 5.
This presentation will address current issues such as:
- Seal integrity failures and the need for dye testing
- ASTM F1929 method
- Edge dip method
- Pinhole method
- Tips for dye penetraion method
Oliver-Tolas Principal Engineer of Package Development Geoff Pavey will present possible causes of leaks in the seal of a sterile barrier system as the purpose of dye penetration testing. Also discussed will be the ASTM F1929 dye penetration test method and a possible alternate method currently being reviewed by the ASTM F02 committee on Flexible Barrier materials under the subcommittee F02.40.
